LĒD collective. “Acquired reflex”, 2015 – 2016

LĒD art-collective presents their debut project “Acquired Reflex” and invites the guests of the “Month of Photography in Minsk” to review personal and collective values.

The exhibition “Acquired Reflex” of LĒD collective of Belarusian visual artists is a part of a larger project-research on the issue of control limits and boundaries, as well as norms established by the contemporary society and state.

In the current works the artists ask both themselves and the public the following questions: how does the decision-making process occur and can we fully control it, modifying the code of behaviour inherent in us? Which things characteristic to our common history, both past and present, determine our personal values?

LĒD collective was founded in 2015 and consists of 6 young Belarusian artists who work with documentary and art photography, photojournalism, text, video and installation.

The members of LĒD collective are Maksim Dosko, Anna Levankova, Aleksey Naumchik, Maksim Sarychau, Alexandra Soldatova, Alexander Mikhalkovich.
